Grayson Highlands Bouldering & Stewardship Event 2025: Trail Work, Community, and Climbing in Southwest Virginia
This year’s Grayson Highlands Bouldering & Stewardship Event was a triumph! With more than 65 volunteers joining us from Friday evening through Sunday afternoon, we accomplished an incredible amount of work caring for one of Appalachia’s best high-country boulderfields. Guided Climbing Adventure with Mount Mission School & CACC
In Spring of 2025, the Central Appalachian Climbing Coalition (CACC) had the incredible opportunity to take students from Mount Mission School  in Grundy, VA, on a guided outdoor climbing trip—an experience made possible through funding from the 2024 Cumberland Forest Community Fund. This year, we had the chance to team up with the Virginia Highlands Festival to offer a Free Bouldering Clinic & Climbing Excursion, and it was a blast!
